This Privacy Policy explains how From Only Now (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile and web apps and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, username, avatar, and bio when you register or update your profile.
Location data: approximate or precise GPS coordinates when you allow location access, used to show nearby captures (“capsules”), offers, and ads, and when you create location-based content.
User content: text, photos, videos, audio, and other media you upload or create, including associated location and timing metadata you choose to attach.
Business & payments: business profile details and wallet activity. Payments may be processed by PayPal; we do not store your full payment card numbers. PayPal may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Ads & offers analytics: first-party view and click counts for ads and promotions shown near you (not third-party ad networks like AdMob unless we notify you otherwise).
Usage & device data: app interactions, approximate timestamps, IP address, browser or device type, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
Communications: messages you send us (for example reports or support requests).

2. How we use information

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (feeds, maps, timelines, business tools).
Show relevant nearby content based on location you grant.
Process business wallet top-ups and paid ad placements.
Moderate content, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
Communicate about security, account, or service updates.
Comply with law and protect users and the Service.

3. How we share information

Other users: public profile fields and content you publish may be visible to others according to product rules (for example nearby discovery).
Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, and payment processors (including PayPal and our hosting provider) that process data on our behalf.
Legal: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Permissions on your device

Depending on features you use, the app may request access to location, camera, microphone, and photos/media. You can deny or revoke these in system settings; some features will then be limited or unavailable.

5. Data retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Analytics counters and logs may be retained for a limited operational period.

6. Account & data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us using the support email published on our Google Play Store listing (or via in-app reporting tools). We will verify the request and delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. International processing

We may process and store information on servers in countries where we or our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to those locations with appropriate safeguards where required.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
